AUGUST , Summer Vacation Almost Gone!

Here we are, August, and the last few weeks before the kids head back to school. Hector and his son are off on vacation for 2 weeks and 2 of my daughters are pitching in to help us get these hydrangea blooms out to you. (It helps knowing they are being paid!)
We still have good supplies of all colors, head size is big and the stems are long. The plants also are still producing a lot new flowers, so we should have a good supply well into October.

Another week into this Hydrangea shipping season and the flowers are blooming out very nicely.

SUMMER TIME !!!

SUMMER TIME!!!, And I’ve been able to have one of my daughters Ellie, and a son of an employee, Hector, help with the work since they are off school this summer. Saving up and gaining work experience is welcomed by some of our youth, Praise the Lord!!! So there still is hope for this next generation.
We had a very busy week last week, shipping out large numbers of these Hydrangea blooms due to the demand for wedding flowers on Saturday 07-07-07. Either those to be wed felt it would be a lucky day for them or that the groom would never have an excuse to forget an anniversary on that date.

Antique - Jewel Tone Hydrangea Flowers ALREADY!!!

Here are some pictures I took this evening, 5:45pm (6-27-07), of the antique hydrangea blooms at our nursery. Some are just beginning to turn so they are not quite as intense as they will become in a couple of more weeks. I wanted you to see these pictures so you will know what is coming along.

Local Wedding; (Cody Floral Design) Our White Hydrangeas

One of my wonderful customers Laura Sangas of Cody Floral Design sent me some pictures of a wedding she did this week-end, (All White Hydrangeas). It is always great to see how the Hydrangea wedding flowers that we grow are used in the brides bouquet and to decorate the tables with Hydrangea flower centerpieces. Thought you may enjoy these.

Fathers Day

Always an advantage to have such a beautiful background of the Hydrangeas in bloom. Not all of Dad's 6 kids were here physically but they were with us in spirit. We Love you Dad!!!

Hard to believe we are almost half way through June already, and as you can see our hydrangea blooms are really progressing! Getting some very great colors this year and good quantities of each of the colors with this crop. Ellie's Prom Date

Well it's that time of year "Prom Time"and my kids are growing up. I have my gun locked and loaded, now waiting for Ellie to get home on time."Ha Ha" Such a fine young man.

Memorial & Birthdays

Family fun this Memorial Day,we had 23 of us up here at the Ranch this year. We celebrated the following birthdays; Paul Sr. 69, Ellie 17 , Stephanie 16 and Andrew 8 years old.

The day started out foggy but fortunately we were able to experience the warmth of the sun by 3pm until dusk .
